Off to Oregon!

Pray for Asher and I as we head off to Oregon tomorrow to visit my sister and her family! I can't wait! Pray also for protection for us from the swine flu...I battled a bit of fear this evening; but God is faithful and sovereign so I can and will trust him!
I will try to post once while we are there so you can see all that we are seeing and doing! Oh, and pray for Rob too, as he will be solo, taking care of our two "big" boys who are very roudy these days!

Thank you Honey for allowing me to go and sacraficing, not just money, but your time as well, to make it possible! I love you, I love you, I love you!!!

Easter '09

Easter was a lot of fun this year, even though we spent it apart from our families. We let the boys hunt eggs in the backyard the evening before because it was forecasted to rain Easter Sunday (which it did). They loved it and wanted to do it over and over again. Mommy and Daddy were only up for two times though! Easter Sunday was very memorable as well because we spent it with a new family in our church and had a great time together! I cooked the traditional ham with corn casserole, salad, potatoes, deviled eggs, and dinner rolls. It was great! The adults sat at the kitchen table set with our china, and the kids sat at a table in the living room. Thanks Latta family for sharing Easter with us and letting us get to know you better!

Prepared for the "Hunt"!

The happy family of five!

the cutest thing in the world...

what we've been up to...

...not much. Sam's continuing to do well at tball practice (when it's not canceled due to weather), Joel has been successful pooping in the potty (ah, you got to love the lingo of a mother of preschoolers!), and Asher continues to steal our hearts with his joy (though teething is proving to be a joy-robber at times)! Sam and Joel are interacting more and more with Asher which is so sweet and very helpful too! Oh, and a big event in my life was the haircut and highlight I got on Monday (thanks Erin...i love it)!! Well, enjoy the pictures!

How cute is he...waiting his turn to bat!

Hitting the ball! He's always a bit timid at these moments. We're waiting
for him to throw caution to the wind and really "rip" one like he does in our backyard!
(Yes, I'm bragging...sorry!)

Running to 1st base, without the bat!

The carousel at Gatti Town.

No, this is not how we normally dress to go out....unless
it's 1985! We were on our way to an 80's party! So funny!
(before the new haircut too, in case you were wondering. I did not
pay money for that ridiculous hairdo!)

Painting his spring caterpillar. Our "art" for the week.
Butterflies to follow...maybe!

The finished products.

How cute is he?!!!!
(yes, I'm bragging again!)

there's that smile again.

See, he doesn't smile ALL the time...he does devour
a good book every now and then. Just like Daddy!

The toothless, squinty grin! Hilarious!

A bit of brother tummy time! Joel just plopped down
beside him one day! I thought it was pretty cute!
