A Little Funny...

There are many areas that our precious son, Samuel, has grown in over the past year....
what a joy and answer to our prayers!
However, there is one area that could still use a bit of work...
Below you will find the evidence!
(I couldn't make it publish very large, so I stretched the photo myself,
hence the slight blurriness.)

"Stand here son. Right here."
(All you belly lovers out there...notice my roundness?!)

Yes, posed photos of any kind are not Sam's forte yet...we continue to be hopeful for the future!

Mother's Day '08

As you all know, Sunday was Mother's Day and what a day it was for this mommy! It began with breakfast in bed brought to me by all my boys yelling, "Happy Muder's Day, Mommee!" So sweet to my ears! Quite a contrast from the past years with the boys...they didn't have a clue, but this year was especially fun b/c the boys were TOTALLY into it!

Then the card and gift opening commenced! Rob had gotten a card for each of the boys to give me (even the little guy still in the "oven") and they were so funny. Then included inside the cards were typed interviews that Rob did with the boys. Here a sample of each of their responses:

Sam:
Favorite story: "Just. Hmmmm. Just Spiderman."
Song to sing: "Umm. Just the Gospel Song. Yes, and the Nigh Night Song!"
Favorite Dreams: "Just Spiderman and Hulk and Maddie and Allie and Karis"
(If girls remain in the dreams too long we may need to talk!)
Greatest fear: "scary monsters. Big spiders. I don't want them."
What does Mommy do the best?: "I don't know Daddy. I just wuv her."
I want to thank Mommy for: "I don't know Daddy. I jus wuv her."

Joel:
Favorite toy: "Wightning Mcfeen!"
Favorite story: "well...trucks! It's a big digger! Wan to read it?"
Song to sing: "I want Thomas. Well...well...maybe the Gospel Song!"
Favorite dreams: "Umm...Thomas at Sordor with James. Hmm. Maybe Pirates!
They get on my boat. Want to come on my boat?"
Greatest fear: "Uhhhh. Wions. Not bo-boes."
Favorite lunch: "well...cheeseburger. Yes. French fries."
I want to thank Mommy for: "...wuving me in my house."

(Boy #3 was a little tied up and unavailable for interview! Maybe next year!)

Rob, my wonderful husband, also gave me a card and it included a poem! He is quite the poet for those of you who didn't know! Then he blessed me with a gift certificate to a spa for a manicure and pedicure!!!! Every pregnant woman's dream come true!...That and a good nights sleep!

After all the spoiling of Mommy, we headed to church for a wonderful time worshipping the Lord and hearing God's word! After church we headed to my favorite Mexican restraunt in Gaithersburg and got there right after they opened! Perfect timing with two toddlers in tow!

So anyways, to sum the day up...I am blessed beyond measure! My boys are one of my greatest joys and there are no other children I would rather be raising, loving, and caring for each day, then them! Who knew, several years ago, as tears fell from my eyes, on yet another childless Mother's Day, what blessings and joys the Lord had in store for me! All praise to Him, for not just the wonderful gift of my sons, but for the greatest gift of all, my salvation!

Spidermen and Scissors...

No, Spiderman did not resort to scissors instead of shooting web and he does not have a twin brother who was also bit by a radio-active spider...it's just my boys dressing up like their favorite superhero one morning! And Sam is learning to use scissors, so I thought I would add a few pics of my big boy and a short little video too! Enjoy! Love you all!
All my Spidermen...one in his "Peter Parker" get-up!

Spiderman Time!

Sam (right)sportin' his mask!

Our Spring So Far...

Well, the spring is off to a great start and I thought I would catch you all up, via photos! I have a ton I haven't uploaded to the blog, so here are a few!
In early April, our dear friends, Jeanna and Justin came for a short visit and brought their daughter Karis (3 like Sam) and their new little boy, Noah, born in December! We had a great time being together, just wished they could have stayed longer!!!
My Dad mailed the boys marbles to play with because they had been asking for some of "Pop's marbles". I figured out a way to use the Hot Wheels track we have for tons of marbles fun!
In Mid-April Rob went to the Together for the Gospel conference (T4G) in Louisville, KY so I tried to fill the days with the boys with some fun! Our last day before Daddy came home was spent at the DC Zoo with a friend, Ashley, and her two kiddos! It was a lot of fun, but I think Mommy would have more fun next time if Daddy comes too! ;)
Once Daddy returned, we spent a family day at Great Falls, VA state park
enjoying the beautiful weather, waterfalls, rocks, and picnic lunch! It was a
very memorable day that we hope we can repeat before we head back to TX in June!
And finally, just last Sunday, Rob and I had a day alone in DC planned to go
to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and any other museums or sites we could squeeze in. Due to the weather and sheer magnitude of the Holocaust museum, that is all we did
that day. It was an experience I will not soon forget.
And lastly, the two videos are of the boys playing with the last care package box
we received. I hope you enjoy them and are able to see how much they
have grown and a bit of their personalities as well! ;)
My one pic with Karis, from their visit!

Marbles Fun!

Day at the DC Zoo!
The last day before Daddy came home from T4G
was spent with our friends at the DC Zoo...next time
we'll be sure to take Daddy!!!!!

Daddy's Back!...A Day at Great Falls, VA!

Our rainy day in DC visiting the
Holocaust Museum...powerful place!

Don't know if this will work, or exactly what video it

is...it should be of the boys playing with a box!
